Ashes Laid in StoneI stood there, a silhouette against the ashes and the one room that stood on the land that was once known as Kennedy Jr. High. I never really thought about how I loved that school until it was laid out before me. I never had thought that I would care if it was gone or if it burned down. There is a lot behind one building; history, people, students, teachers, books, walls, I could go on and on about what lay there but you pretty much get the picture. When I first went there as a seventh grader my respect was none, and I thought that these were going to be the worst years of my life.
